Think I already tried that Ghot ....didn't change the "Active signal resolution" stayed at 2560 x 1440

In order for MR to use 1920 x 1080 the Active signal resolution has to also be at 1920 x 1080
    See pic...

    Attachment 336856

    My screen is 2560 x 1600, yet MR Rescue Media is like 1920 x 1080 - ish.

I wonder if the Asus monitor supports G-Sync which in turn senses Mike's card and enables the highest resolution.

I wonder if there is a setting on the monitor, in the on screen menu, to disable G-Sync.

Never thought of that but yes my monitor does use G-Sync Ken ....Think it can be disabled ...will check

Well that's not it, because my G-Sync is not turned on ....

Is all of this exactly the same on your 2nd system? The font/size problem?

I would think you need to shut it off on monitor if there is a setting. I say this as Nvidia Control panel is not started in rescue media.

I would browse the On Screen menu.

Have you tried using WinPE rather than WinRe (might have to use WinPE 5).

Also, I would try creating a Rescue Drive using @Kyhi's toool and add V8 to it. I found when I had resolution iisues that seemed to sort it. You woukd have to workout how to boot at a specific res.
