The question then is why it was ok on V7? WinRE hasn't changed since 2004(20H1).
Well I found a old usb stick with MR on it from 2018 .....booted to it, and it was at 2560x1440 Keith

So looks like its Windows forcing the higher resolution and not MR

2018 would be an older version of WinRE. Is there anything in the BIOS?

Mike, here are the screenshots you wanted. I did one with an older V7 thumb and a new V8 thumb. The V7 is slightly larger actual font size, but both are at 1920x1080, with no option to change on either.

Not posted on your MT thread, you may if you wish. I also had tried that Legacy stuff on the build, but no go also.

Well it seems to be its Windows forcing the screen size to 2560x1440 Not reflect. So guess my monitor has a much higher resolution than yours. Even when I went back to a image backup from 3-29-21 it was still saying 2560x1440 but looked like 1920x1080 to me....so I give up.

Is it possible that your video drivers are different than they were in 2018? Maybe if you opened a support ticket with Nvidia, they might have a solution. You can't be the only one in the world with this problem.

What's the reason your using a pg279q at 1080p? Is it for scaling? I thought in the PE environment it just used the native resolution of the panel?
