Problem is somebody posts an issue related to MR7 and people reply. At same time somebody posts about MR 8 and people reply, and it is hard to follow chains.

What is the big deal to split them up to make it clearer for us? No matter what the negativists here say, some people will be using MR7 for years to come. Truth is people often use this thread for general posting rather than setting up new threads.

Hell, look at Macrium Forum, they separate MR8 posts from MR7 posts for clarity.

Indeed we have completely separate W7 and W8 forums.

So, instead of debating this endlessly, just do it or provide a REAL reason not to do it other than a vague MR7 ceases to be updated at some unspecified point!
@cereberus If you want to continue this discussion, it would fit better over in Macrium Reflect 8 Update Discussion.

The original intent of this thread is supposed to be for updates to Macrium Reflect, regardless of which version one owns. If we adhere to that original purpose, there shouldn't be a problem with understanding which version is being updated.

Fair point, but I made a simple request appropriately here to split this thread, but got in involved in a whole irrelevant debate. Hell more time has been a
spent in debating it than just doing it. Nobody has made a real reason not to do it other than making assumptions about when updates on V7 will continue. The front page lists W8 updates but W7 updates will still continue for a while - should we show both on 1st page?

So I rather disagree thus is just a V8 issue. I guess it is pointless discussing anymore here.

We are also discussing changing Wynona's Macrium Reflect 8 discussion to be a general MR discussion thread so this one could remain just for updates.

Groan - my blooming point is not about discussions but the blooming point that there are still updates to V7 at moment and it makes this thread difficult to follow!

Never mind guys, do not bother posting replies to me anymore. I am not going to waste my time on this any longer!

Martin, I know you aren't looking, but nobody here has the power to do or not do anything you request. Only Aliens and Owners can do that. The Alien has spoken way back when. To some degree, you are preaching to the choir.
