Ok , will stay at 8-version..........( for now !)
FYI - changes/patches made to one version do not necessarily affect the other. Not always, but for the most part patches and changes affect only the version they are issued for. If it were some more general patch, say Security, MR would likely issue a patch for V7 and a patch for V8, separately. So no need to flip back to V7 or up to V8 because of a patch to one or the other. They are generally independent.

Respectfully or with all due respect, "Wrap-in quotes" is a good thing and the way to go.

    Reconsidering backup options

Does anyone use an online backup service to backup all your Reflect images? I'd need one that holds about 350GB & would allow me to upload from 2 different machines.

Any suggestions on which one to use?

    Thanks in advance,

    New Edit:
Based on the advice of @Ghot, @f14tomcat, & @Bree, I'm looking at this a different way. I think I'll get a couple of thumb drives & create additional backups there. The ones on my external drives aren't encrypted, but I want to make sure that I can run a new encrypted backup version on my thumb drives (in case I lose it). (Don't know why I'm being so paranoid today.)

Thanks, Mike. But I'm looking for something that's an online storage so that my house burned down & I got a new computer, I could restore everything. [I'm aware of the irony of restoring a computer before restoring my house.] I was looking at Backblaze, but I wasn't sure if it backs up just files or the entire disk.

@phrab, you might want to start your own thread for this. Just a suggestion.

One answer is to image to more than one backup drive, then keep one in safe off-site storage - with a relative or friend, perhaps, or a safe deposit box at your bank.

Coupled with backing up your personal files to OneDrive or similar that should fit the bill.

In MR V7, when I start up, analyzing files took 3-4 seconds, while V8 takes 15-18 seconds. Is this normal or is my install faulty?
