It did require a new update for my Rescue Media ...as it had to update the Build info....

That happens after every update if you use WinRE rather than WinPE.

For my travel laptop, backing up over wifi is great as it is a fixed storage emmc device. Saves me connecting a usb drive.

Actually, I normally connect my travel laptop to main laptop via ethernet cable these days as it is so much faster (6 mins as opposed to 20 mins). However, sometimes I am lazy and just set it running over wifi for convenience.

WinRE uses less diskspace but you need to keep the recovery partition in place which somewhat offsets benefit on a device with limited memory though.

The fact that Macrium had 3 updates in 3 days is not a matter of concern. The first was a major update, so it's just the 2nd and 3rd that is the fodder. Big deal. 2 small updates that took less than a minute to do. Both on CBT, so no need to re-do rescue media. I'd rather see them stay on top of needed changes than let errors go on and on like some other vendors.

But there will always be complaints to fill in the void between updates.

Like I posted earlier TC ...Macrium reported to me, that there was a newer BUILD available and it suggested to update my rescue disk. So I did, and also showed the screenshot of MR suggesting to update my older rescue disk.
weather it was needed or not, I let MR decide.

That's correct, Mike, on the initial upgrade to 7.3, but not on the little patches. The OS build didn't change, so no need. Since these little patches concerned CBT, and CBT is not relevant to any function of Rescue thumb or on-board WINRE (boot option), no need to re-create it. Can if you wish, just no need to.

I understand what you are saying....BUT ....when I checked MR told me there WAS a newer build, and I posted the pic showing me that there was a newer build available. And it updated itself to the newer build on my rescue disk.
