Updating Laptop today, but 5283 working fine on Desktop, I imagine it will work fine on Laptop to eject usb drive when connected on Laptop. Though i think CBT already off on Laptop, as i never saw any improvement even when using it.

Still took for storage drive 5-6 hours to do 1 full image prior to Windows Update day, and other 2 Sundays of the month usually differntial type backups was done, followed by another full usually at end of month.

All to my USB 3.1 Enclosure that houses my Twitter Contest Won Seagate Barracuda 8TB hard drive

v7.3.5283 is already out. It can be installed either from the application itself, or by downloading the new installer.

Until this bug hit me I was unaware of how to turn off CBT, now I know two ways - disabling or modifying the install from 'Add or remove programs'.
Actually, the method I used to remove CBT was this (after a Google search):

Navigate to C:\Program Files\Macrium\Reflect and run MrCbtTools. Once the application is open, press 'File' > 'Remove CBT driver' and restart your computer. On start up CBT driver will no longer be a part of your computer.

I couldn't find it in 'Add or remove programs' for some reason?

And, I haven't done enough 'testing' yet to confirm but it seems that since removing CBT, the "safe to eject" notification from Windows 10 for my USB3 desktop dock appears to be a lot faster than it was - sometimes it would take up to 15 to 20 seconds or more before the notification would appear (possibly related to the size and number of files being transferred to/from the external drive in the dock?).

You can run the installer and uncheck it.
But with MrCbtTools, is also very easy.

Must of missed that - Pretty sure this system has .5283 installed. I'll check it again.

    Thanks

    Thanks, Stigg.

I've just removed CBT from Macrium Reflect (I had to Google how to...lol) and the blue screens with my external dock no longer occur.

I'll have to keep an eye on that since CBT will probably be reinstalled with future updates, unless the Macrium people fix the 'bug' in the meantime.

I recall there was a similar 'bug' a year or so back where you couldn't safely eject USB drives after a Macrium update (which was quickly fixed in the next release - at least they're fast with issuing fixes for problems).
    No problem, Carl.
But you didn't have to Google it as I posted how to do it just above your post.
And your installation options will remain intact for future updates.
