For the past few days I've been getting this error when manually checking for updates.
    Currently on Free Edition v.7.2.4942
Anyone else seeing this? Macrium server issue?

I am not having your issue, but today after upgrading from the Update Assistant to 2004 (20H1), my paid version had changed from Home Edition to Free Edition and I could not do a backup. I had to do an uninstall/reinstall in order to get back to normal. The real question: Is the problem with MR or with MS?

Thanks for the feedback OldMike65 and IronZorg89.

Maybe it has something to do with the Free Edition and my installing the Windows 10 May 2020 Update version 2004?

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Macrium, the installer worked fine and downloaded the installation data from Macrium.
Also tried rebooting in Safe mode with networking.

However when manually checking for updates - same error.

Ditto. Will try uninstalling/installing using Geek uninstaller later on.

Tried uninstall/reinstall even with Defender's Controlled folder access set to off but still same issue.

I just checked my version and I have 7.2.4942, so I guess I don't have your issue. I do know that Macrium notified me an update was available, so I didn't manually check for updates, etc.

Sounds like you got something else going on, as I am on the latest Windows update 2004, same as you. I do have the paid version of Macrium thou. Everything is working fine here.

You could try posting your issue on the Macrium forum, and see if they can give you some suggestions.
