Today, Saturday, is my full image day. I backup my internal Kioxia (Toshiba) NVMe M.2 SSD drive to a WD external spinner, through USB 3.0. The image MR makes is ~118 GB which compresses to ~95 GB.

I run today's backup with the latest v7.2.4942 and while in the past it was taking close to 31 min. (Backup + Verification), today it only took 28 min. for the entire process.
I don't know if it's a coincidence or if something was changed in MR, but this is a welcome 10% increase in backup speed.

My full image & verify today took exactly the same time as last Saturday. 8 mins - 38 GB. Might not see a 10% reduction on that though.

Update: Silly me that was from the file time. actual time were 13:04 today and 12:48 last Saturday. Backup sizes were similar.

Lol. My backup time is very dependant on the write speed to the external disk. It doesn't take much to vary that on a fairly full disk.

After 3 or 4 patches I like to totally uninstall Macrium, download the latest and reinstall. It`s such a small program so it`s no big deal. I also like the GUI splash screen, I set it for 3 seconds.

    I`m silly like that

    Oh my, it`s getting late
