Incidentally, I was messing with branched incrementals (purely CV19 boredom), and I pressed something and it came up with a graphical representation of the branches but I am blowed if I can find that screen again. I think it was when I was deleting an incremental to break a chain but not sure.
Yes, it's when you try to delete a file. On the Restore tab, for an image file select 'Other actions... > Delete file'.

Found it - you can create branches but it seems only if branching from differential initial case.

Here incremental 07 is tied to diff 06 an not linked to inc chain 01 to 05.

I tried to create a branch off inc 02 and it does not seem to allow that.

a general question... at least I think it is. Does Reflect verify each/every/all item it sets into the image? and if an error occurs, how is the user notified: will it bail and abort the image save? or do I have to check the log file manually?

is the cloning problem of recent memory fixed? I stopped using Reflect because of repeat clone fails. It spooked me on the whole program. Started using Shadowmaker

You can set MR to verify an image immediately after the backup. If it fails the verify terminates with an error message otherwise you get a success message. You can also run verify manually at any time.

You have to enable Verify in defaults. If it fails it tells you right then and there.

You can go back and verify images.

    Like what Kado said.

You can also set auto verify for an individual backup definition in advanced options.

Ken, which version of MR are you using? Mine looks nothing like yours and I can't get to what you're showing.

Edit: Never mind . . . I went back for the fourth time and finally found it!

    I verify all my backups.

Most run automatically so if they take a little longer I really don't care.

I've always felt there is no point in having a back up unless I know it is sound. Even when I do straight copies to disks I open two or three files as a sampling.

Fair point. That is the way I also go about all my backups. And I prefer differentials even though they take more space.
