What do you wants CDBurner XP for that ? Just point MR to any connected disk with enough free space and it will create .mrimg backup file in it.

Do you know MiniTool ? It is from Canada, and have a lot of separeted softwares, one of them is Image Backup and Restore.

Started using Macirum in 2017, Tried Restore for first time ages ago on my older system, failed miseraly, gonna try separating the images from C SSD and D Extra Programs/Storage drive, and see in the future if that restores better

Minitool Shadow Maker is new software, not even a frequently asks question section. I know members use Minitool Partition wizard.

I use Macrium all the time and have restored many times without issue. Bought four licenses and have at least a dozen clients using Free version.

You are catching the same members by posting on these two threads. Just post on one please.

Thanks for the heads up, guys. I've read everything y'all posted in both TF and Macrium Forums; not gonna test that part yet.

Funny, but I don't have this issue (?)

I did notice that it mounts each partition separately and each therefore requires to be dismounted individually.

I can't recall this behaviour before?

I've learned from this forum that Reflect updates tend to be bug prone. I don't update until I see feedback on this forum that the update is stable!

I'm using Minitool Partition wizard for long time although i also have Easus Partition Master.
Except for recent issue with image unmounting, no other problems with MR.

One of the tech's on Macrium's forum, did post a better solution then rebooting your pc if you can't unmount your image.
I think they won't take long to fix this issue thou. Here is what the tech posted.

Just as a workaround, try launching Reflect, going to the Restore tab, and then under the Restore Tasks area in the upper-left corner, clicking "Detach a backup image". Should be a lot easier than restarting

Funny you should mention that quote. From their forum:

It is the first note in release notes...

Thanks for keeping us posted, TC

Ok just got another reply from the tech's on Macrium's forum on a quick method for unmounting the image.

"Thanks for your posts and sorry for the problems.

If you close the Explorer window showing the mounted image drive before unmounting, then the drive will be removed. We will have a fix shortly.

    Kind Regards
    Nick - Macrium Support"
