" let MR make Rescue disk/usb ".............so, you deleted the partition on the USB , and then with the Macrium-wizzard made the resque sticky ?
You did not format it and gave it a drive-letter , after deleting.???
Nope, just "Killed" the partition until it was in Raw format, meaning nothing, not one bit on it, no partition defined, no MBR, GPT or anything.
Also Windows does allow only first partition to be recognized, Tried to initialize second partition but:

See my earlier post. Disk management was happy to create more than one partition for me.

Interesting. I've just tried using a 32GB Kingston Datatraveler. Disk management is not able to shrink the partition, Minitool is. Minitool can create two partitions but warns that Windows only supports one. If you delete the partition(s) disk management is quite happy to create more than one partition, format, and assign drive letters. You can read and write to both partitions using File Explorer. So either things have changed recently or it thinks my usb stick is a proper disk drive.
Just tried it on an old 4GB stick. Added two partitions with no problem. So it looks like W10 has finally caught up with the rest of the world.

Well Minitool hasn't. It throws out warnings.

Looks like it was the partitioning program I used that didn't want to initialize the second partition, Disk Management did it

Now to see what happens when I boot from it.

According to the web (so it must be true) it came in with 1703 so it's only taken me two years to discover the thing.

    Just tried making the resque-media with sticky ......no luck , Macrium gave me this report ;
Open handle to physical drive: \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE8
    Read drive geometry
Check for active FAT32 partition in removable media
Target USB disk uses GPT scheme, cannot use this disk
    Check track zero writeable
Track zero is writeable for selected disk
Calculate space required for PE files
PE File Count: 25 requiring 1024.0 MB disk space
Determine target volume for WinPE files
Target USB disk uses GPT scheme, cannot use this disk
    Not a supported disk type

So, remains the question ; HOW to get it from GPT INTO MBR/FAT32 ............ !!!
