Do you test the Rescue media on both systems each time you update it?
I build separate rescue for each machine and test. That said I do not build new rescue media for each update unless the update notes recommends it.

So, if I'm reading correctly, you're creating WinPE Rescue Media on the Ryzen and WinRE Rescue Media on the Legacy machine. Correct?
I'm wondering why you wouldn't use RE on the Ryzen and PE on the Legacy. In fact, why wouldn't you use RE on both of them?
This has been and is such a great discussion! I'm learning a great deal about Macrium/Rescue Media.
One USB created on Ryzen system to be used on both machines. that one is PE.
On each machine I created own RE environment for BOOT menu.
@Caledon Ken. I check only for ability to boot and find and recognize backup file. Backup was successful each time I had to do it on both machines.
I've created a thread on Colors on Dark Backgrounds:

I also create a separate rescue media for each of my machines, but I also recreate the rescue media after each new update. The reason being that MR always asks to update the boot menu after each update. My understanding is that if it is good for the boot menu, it ought to be the same for the rescue media.
With regard to PE Vs RE, I have never had any problem with this aspect while using MR. It is as if by default MR chooses the right environment for you depending on your system hardware configuration.

I create the Macrium boot section on the OS drive of each system, in RE. Then I create an ISO of the rescue media in RE for each machine and save that on USB external media. I don't bother making any bootable flash drives. I figure, if I end up needing a flash drive to boot one of the machines, I'll connect the external drive to another machine and create it using the appropriate ISO file and RUFUS. I also keep several versions of the recovery ISOs, just in case.
