I just updated. Those poor guys at Macrium have been working their tails off lately. Kudos to them.

Is 8.1 home a subscription, or just no updates after 12 months? Happy to support, would just like to know what it will cost going forward.

If getting 4 licenses, 12 months starts from purchase date or date of install on each PC?

v8.1 is paid only. V8.0 is free and will be supported until the end of the year. The licence is for life on the major version so will last wile V8.x is still supported. You would need a new licence to update to V9. No idea when that will be. There is usually a significant discount on the upgrade though. For v7 to v8 it was 50% for all and 100% for very recent purchases.

It's not a subscription, it's a one-time payment for a perpetual licence for v8.x Home. Updates for v8.x Home will continue until one year after the release of v9. The support that ends after 12 months is just the technical support via email.

But that's not a great loss, as you can still get support on the Macrium forum. With a paid for licence you can register to post on the Macrium forum (anyone can read the forum, but you have to have bought Reflect to be able to post). That forum registration is perpetual too.

and watch their site and this thread. They regularly take 20% off. You might even contact sales and ask for 20% off. Easter is coming, would not be surprised to see an incentive.

Black Friday they usually run a 50% off sale.

If you use Twitter you can follow and see price discounts there as well.

    Hi.

I'm glad that Macrium Reflect 8.1.7401 has been released.
The company is quite good at correcting anomalies.

I agree. I am still working with another company that makes a competing product on fixing an issue that I have been reporting for SEVERAL YEARS. I think that they have sent about 10 test builds to me so far and they still have not resolved the issue. But they are SLOW, SLOW, SLOW to address issues. When a new version of Windows comes out, it takes forever to get support for that new version. They finally just recently came out with support for 22H2.

    Sure it's not Microsoft?
