    Switching topics...

I've always been rather impressed with the performance of Macrium Reflect. With the promise of even better performance in 8.1 and verified by those who already have the now pulled update, I'm eager to give it a try. I also love the idea of being able to continue working in Reflect while other operations are in process.

I have another backup program (I have a tendency to test several options) that is so inflexible in that regard. For example, If I define a Full backup plan, I cannot even create a schedule for incremental backups until after the first full backup is completed. What kind of nonsense is that?

I always leave my computer in an idle state and disconnected form the internet while performing the backup.
Additionally, I stop any extraneous processes from running that might interfere. (It's just me.)

Then again, I go from SSD to SSD to SSD so it is really fast, even in 8.0.

With this new release, I hope that it will be so fast that I will have no worries at all.

It will. You can count on at least 10 pages of "Where is the thread for the new Macrium?".
