Hi, CountMike. I took a look there, too, and it's just the normal release thread. Discussion on the free being ok. Lots of people asked similar questions. Answer is always the same. Free version is ok, unaffected, and safe.

Not for 8.1. This is what I have been told. I would like to be wrong on this.

You are not obligated to install 8.1, you know.

I know but it's installed anyway and I'm not sure this is some 8.1 bug or what. Maybe it's supposed to work like that.

Well, that's a lot different. His link did NOT go there.

Just received an email!

"Version 8.1 is not ready yet and it will still be a week or so until the bugs are worked out.
If your customers purchase a paid license now they will still be eligible for a free upgrade to version 8.1."

Just as an info, that's payed version, On laptop with W10 and W11 Insider dev on this PC i have MR free, not a single problem with those.and they are both updated to last free version.
