Macrium Reflect v8.0.6635 Public Release now available

I have just been notified that an update is now available for Macrium Reflect for those that want it and it comes with the following Note:

Note: The latest update can be skipped if it doesn't apply to your installation or usage. Please see here

Since there is nothing in this update that I need, I have decided to leave my installation as it is at v8.0.6584. It is running brilliantly and doing a sterling job of work consistently and reliably. I don't see the point in risking an upgrade that offers no fixes or functions applicable to by mode of usage.

At least they have now released it anyway for public use so check your distros for the notification.

I changed my mind and did the update after all, and it worked out fine. Had a backup just in case. No issues that I can see. All good.

Do you just Patch it Mike or Reinstall it. I was going to do a clean as this is the 2nd Patch that I put on this? Do you think it is necessary?

I always let MR patch itself Josey, and this patch also asked to reboot my pc. So after it rebooted MR is running fine Josey.

Not all of MR's patches need a reboot thou ....actually most don't. I was surprised.

Don't think I've ever had to reinstall Macrium Reflect ever ....there patches work just fine.

I made my post exactly 21 minutes after yours and much of that time was spent preparing it and changing the image I first used for a different one. I had no idea you had made a post about it.

    Does it matter?

IMO, patch is sufficient. Only clean install if it goes belly-up on you.
