That is what I did, bought four new V8 licenses so I can redeploy my V7's on some other less critical gear.
I purchased MR8 just now; entered key into my MR7 FREE; MR7 program did things, and said my PC need to restart. After restart, in Help > about MacriumReflect - shows i still have MR version 7.3 build 6391, has my license no, support expires 11/29/2022.
My email shows your products > Reflect 8 Home
How do I get MR7 to switch to MR8?
Thanks
I got it today as well and one of the emails had a link to the V8 manual page showing you how with a link to the latest Installer
which will allow you to enter your Code. Make sure you Update your Rescue Media as A V7 RescueDisk can't use V8 Images....

Thanks Kbird. After purchase, I was swamped with email correspondence. Received 4 emails from Macrium, 1 email from PayPal, and 1 email from my bank.
My MR8 is running great now, made a new v8 boot CD, tested the new v8 boot CD, and made a new image last night.
What cereberus proposed would demonstrate the potential benefits of the premium feature Rapid Delta Restore. With Reflect Free the restore would replace all sectors with those from the image, whether the had changed or not. With RDR only those sectors that were different would be replaced.
The way cereberus asked you to set up this test would be an extreme example of this, probably completing the restore in less than a minute. The only sectors that would have changed since the image were those of the directory entries in the MFT that were pointing to the now deleted files, the sectors holding the data for the files themselves still being there, just marked as unused.
