After my Macrium Reflect Home free trial period ended on 16th November it did not revert to the MR Free version. I tried clicking on buttons to use the Free version but they did not work so was forced to uninstall it and download and install the Free version and set it all up again....

Odd, indeed. Least you have it sorted now.

I can confirm that. I've just installed v8 Trial in a VM with the clock set back more than 30 days, then reset the clock to today to make it expire.

    Clicking OK has no effect.

They've changed something on that. Used to work flawlessly. I had several work just just fine, but that was over a month ago.

at ~£50 for Home version a 4-pack licence it's very tempting. One question though, would I actually get the ReDeploy feature that's mentioned on their Black Friday offer page?

I'm uncertain as ReDeploy a system to new hardware says

Applies to: Professional and Server Editions of Macrium Reflect only

But I can see no such thing as a Professional version on their web site. Maybe that guide is out of date.

    Bree has the right answer.

Just to add..... Macrium , IMO, has a confusing way of describing their product.

    To compare to Windows parlance:

    Macrium Free = Windows Home
    Macrium Paid = Windows Pro

The Macrium "Home" Edition is only to delineate it from the Business and Server products.

Seems that Macrium don't want to make it too easy to switch from the Home version to the Free version even though they say that it will revert to the Free version after the trial has ended.

    Caveat emptor.
How can Caveat Emptor apply as you never paid anything in the first place. I instralled the trial version on several devices and they all reverted to free version automatically. Sounds like you just had a glitch.
