Well guess you have to be running Win 11 ....when I just checked told me I was up to date
I'm running Windows 10 21H2 (OS Build 19044.1288) and this update won't download from Macrium's website but it did download and update to 7.3.6284 from within the Macrium Refelect program.

that explains it. There is no similar update for v8, it's already W11 compatible.

I'm in the UK, same as Macrium, it may just be taking its time to propagate around the world's CDN servers.
Afternoon Bree. Seems to be V7 only.

    Yep:
    Bug fixes and Improvements v7.3.6284 - 16th October 2021

    • Update For Windows 11

      • The rescue media now correctly automatically assigns drive letter 'C' to the Windows 11 system drive.
      • The rescue media now correctly identifies and labels Windows 11 for 'Fix Boot Problems' and 'ReDeploy'.

If this issue affects you then please create fresh rescue media after updating.

    • Server Plus Updates

      • The Mailbox Restore wizard could sometimes crash if the backed-up Exchange database contained corrupt or invalid binary data structures. This has been resolved.
      • On Exchange 2013 or later, filtering by date could cause some emails to not be shown, even if they were inside the date range selected. This has been resolved.
      • Several error messages have been made more accurate.
      • It is no longer possible to get the Mailbox Restore wizard into an inconsistent state by clicking on controls while the wizard is restoring or loading folders.

    • Rescue Media
The Rescue Media Wizard would not be able to add user-provided drivers if a more up-to-date version of the same driver was available in the Windows driver store. This has been resolved.
    • Retention Warning
The backup completion warning, when the retention purge deletes all backups prior to running the backup, wasn't being suppressed if the retention rules were explicitly set to retain 1 Full. This has been resolved.
    • Various
Various minor fixes and changes to improve Macrium Reflect.

I wasn't getting updates via the 'Other tasks/Check for updates' route so I checked online for "Macrium reflect Free" and saw that free version 8.0.6161 was available so I downloaded it ( Download Macrium Reflect FREE Edition - MajorGeeks ) and upgraded from v7 Free to v8 Free. I only did this on 15th October and it is working fine but I am wondering if I have done the right thing by upgrading because no one else mentions upgrading to v8 Free.

Question - Has anyone else upgraded to v8 Free and is it working OK?

That is not an official upate to V8 Free which has yet to be formally issued and I recommend you do not rely on that.

However you can download the V8 Home Trial from the Macrium Refect Free site, and if after 30 days you decide not to buy a licence, it reverts officially to the free version (even though not formally released) and gets all updates (I have done this and can verify it works).

I recommend you completely uninstall your version first.

Reverting to "Free V8" didn't work for me, see post #2167 above. It just flatly refused to do anything although it was apparently working.

I've been running version 8 Pro since it was available to me to upgrade on both my machines. They run just fine for me no issues what so ever.
