Why you need to make new Rescue USB...

This is a bit hard to explain. Short version is... Macrium made some changes.

    In my case...

My Win 10 was on MBR partition. Needed to change to GPT for Win 11.
When I did... it created an EFI System partition and a Recovery partition, that I didn't have before.

Previous Macrium versions, only backed up the C:\ drive and the EFI System partition.
    It ignored the Recovery partition.

NOW, however, with the latest update, Macrium now sees and backs up all three partitions.

Don't know if that affects you folks... But to me, that was a fairly major change.

I only do when required in release note. Actually I've found that old ones work very well.

" old ones work very well. "..........true , noticed this also .
However , you have to be 100% sure with this kind of software , after all its your OS with all the precious data on it ...........so , better dont take any risk with it ( at least I dont !).

I still use CDs for Macrium rescue media and have never had any problems using old ones.

Few of my machines have optical drives, so it's a USB flash drive for me. But yes, I have no problems using an older one. In fact I deliberately keep some with one particular build of v7.2 Free, the build where they accidentally left rapid delta restore enabled in the Free recovery media
