What's the reason your using a pg279q at 1080p? Is it for scaling? I thought in the PE environment it just used the native resolution of the panel?
Simple reason is 2560x1440 is too dam small for these old eyes ....

Ah I see, I'm starting to get there. Hope it will works well at 1080p 165.

EDIT: both your PE shots look to be in 1440p to me (even though it says 1080p) just the new ui is using smaller fonts in general?

Actually, Mike, it's the Boot Menu option also, cause that's where MR gets it's files to write to the thumb. Just in case anybody wondered. Even if you've removed the entry from BCD, it's still there in c:\Boot\Macrium

Could be Windows forcing my Reflects usb rescue disk to only use 2560x1440 ....

How do you set a higher active resolution? Mine are set to the same value. It's odd the Reflect rescue environment just offers the default 1920x1080 resolution and no lower option.

Well I didn't set it to a higher resolution, its the spec's of my Asus Monitor. I would love to have it set at 1920 x 1080 ....but I can't change it.

Mike, I may have posted this sometime last couple of days but can't find where............. I disabled both the NVidia and the Intel GPUs on my system, so it was running only on the dirtdumb vid driver. Booted the thumb and it was still at 1920/1080. I do not know where it's getting all that.

Could it have anything to do with this option in the builder?

Think I already tried that Ghot ....didn't change the "Active signal resolution" stayed at 2560 x 1440

In order for MR to use 1920 x 1080 the Active signal resolution has to also be at 1920 x 1080
    See pic...
