@Ghot like Fabler2 I keep getting the free version 7 from both the Macrium site & MagorGeeks site using the ReflectDLHF.exe given, only the DOWNLOAD (EXE) link from MG worked for me.

Go to Other Tasks > Check for Updates.
You need to FIRST update to the latest 7.3.5854 and reboot.

THEN you will get the offer for MR v 8.0.5903 and the MR website will now show you MR v 8.x

Not on the free version.
With MR it usually is one or two months before there is a next version for free.

I use the free version, but this makes sense to me.
Because their servers will be getting tapped with everyone updating or buying the new version, and I can see the paying customers get first dibs.

See the pic above... I just downloaded it.


WHEN I was still on version 7.3.5365 check for updates showed me version 7's... so did the MR site.
As soon as I updated to the latest v 7.3.5854 and rebooted ...the site started showing me v 8.0.5xxx

@Cliff S I think Bree mentioned earlier in one of the Macrium threads that there may still be updates for Macrium 7 also, so now you may have to keep updated links for both versions for those people who remain on v7 and those who migrate to v8.

IF you were on the paid version of 7.3.5854, the MR v 8 dialog would pop up when you opened the program. Otherwise, the site should NOW have the free version of MR 8.

I note against your e-mail address you have four version 7 Home edition licenses. Your latest license purchase was in April 2020. These licenses are perpetual licenses, I will clarify these four licenses:

When you purchase the Macrium Reflect Home editions the licenses are perpetual you have the software for life. The only exception would be if we brought out a new version 8 at some some in the future and you upgraded in which case your version 7 license key would be replaced by the version 8 license key. You would not have to upgrade if you do not want to.

When you purchase the Home edition you get one year's Essentials e-mail support, at the end of one year you can continue to get support by browsing the Knowledgebase and posting questions in the Forum. Many questions posted in the Forum are answered by the same people that answer e-mail questions. Updates from version 7.0.xxxx to 7.x.xxxx are free and upgrades from version 7.x to 8.x are chargeable but with an upgrade discount, see also note below (there no date for a version 8 release but it is expected to be during the first quarter of 2021)

Each license key for Macrium Reflect is for use on one computer but you are allowed to transfer the license key to another computer for legitimate upgrade and replacement purposes. You can purchase one or more single licenses, there is also a version 7 Home edition 4 pack which gives 4 licenses for the price of 2.

Note that purchases after 15th November 2020 will be entitled to a free upgrade to version 8.
