Just for reference if interested. From the MR release notes. V7 came out almost 4 years ago. I think I got my money's worth on the v7 license upgrade from v6.

The way it worked last time (upgrade v6 to v7) was that if you were a business customer with current Support and Maintenance you were entitled to a free upgrade. If you had v6 Home and bought it within three month of the release of v7, then you were also entitled to a free upgrade.

Upgrading to Macrium Reflect v7 from an existing v6 Installation with a free upgrade key.
Free upgrades to v7 from v6 are available to customers with an active Support and Maintenance subscription and for v6 keys purchased on or after 26th November 2016.

For those like me who purchased v7 Home long ago the other option is to purchase an upgrade key. Hopefully they'll email me an offer too good to turn down

You can enter your purchased v6 to v7 upgrade license key directly into your Macrium Reflect v6 installation. This process will automatically upgrade your v6 key without you having to type it in again in the +installer.

ok, so let's take the non-discounted price, $70.

    I've had it 4 years.

    $17.50/yr.discounted.... $13.99/yr.

    That puts it in perspective.

    MBAM cost more.

    It's a good deal....

MBAM don't cost me more ....MR does. I have 2 lifetime licenses for MBAM
MR does not offer any....so MR cost me more in the end.

Good morning Mike ....LoL Not too many apps that I use offer lifetime licenses ....so when one of them does I grab it. I run MBAM on both my computers.

Depending on costs to upgrade to V8 it maybe cheaper to wait until the Black Friday sales next year when you can get four copies for the price of two. The 50% off deal.

Of course that will likely not work with those that must have the latest version and there are a few of those here. LOL

While our V7 licenses don't expire the real question for me will be when will support end?

Thanks Bree for the original information on V8.

In general, the MBAM is costlier on an annual renewal. Just matching aples to apples. I know you have Lifetime licenses, but I was comparing normal annual costs. For one reason only, just one. To show MR is a good deal and the product is priced right. That's all.

Just took this from their site.

Getting too far OT here. I was only making a point about MR good deal. Nothing more.

Macrium Reflect is now 20% off for the holiday period, and if you buy now it includes a free upgrade to Reflect 8 when it is released.

Little is known about what may be new in Reflect 8, but there is information about viBoot 8 Beta, which will add a Dark Theme and Virtualbox support.
