I understand what you are saying....BUT ....when I checked MR told me there WAS a newer build, and I posted the pic showing me that there was a newer build available. And it updated itself to the newer build on my rescue disk.
Newer build of MR, yes, not the OS. That screen will pop up if the rev number changes, it doesn't know any better. It doesn't know why it changed, just that it changed. That's where the human aspect comes in, knowing that CBT would have no bearing, so no need to do the suggestion. Can if you want.

Yeah....it only took about 1 min ....lol to update itself. maybe 2 mins. When MR wants to update its build I just always let it.

I think the point others were trying to make was that yes, technically there was a newer build available, but nothing that had been updated in the new build (CBT and Scheduling) is included in the rescue media. So this time round there was no real need to rebuild it.

Of course, you have to read the release notes carefully to see if a rebuild is strictly necessary. It does no harm to rebuild every time just to be safe, but sometimes the new rescue media will be functionally identical to the old.

Thanks, Bob. I was in the middle of getting rid of CBT when that one showed up. Now I can't find it.

    Going hunting . . .

The fact that Macrium had 3 updates in 3 days is not a matter of concern. The first was a major update, so it's just the 2nd and 3rd that is the fodder. Big deal. 2 small updates that took less than a minute to do. Both on CBT, so no need to re-do rescue media. I'd rather see them stay on top of needed changes than let errors go on and on like some other vendors.

But there will always be complaints to fill in the void between updates.
Total agreement, TC. When Macrium has an update, I'm going for it. They know what they're doing vs some other vendors.
