Let's not mix apples and oranges. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", the old adage. On the other hand, it is totally beyond me that people are still using Microsoft (Windows) own integrated Backup & restore. It has never been reliable; it is slow and takes too long like an eternity. To that, all I have to say is:
Very true.
Their "bugs" are usually on the more complicated stuff, that maybe large companies use.
None have ever affected me, because I use Macrium like Windows 7's old backup.
Just a simple full auto-image once a month, a few manual in between like before major system or software updates, and sometimes one just because
This is the reason I even chose Macrium above other options since Windows 8 & 8.1.
I eventually learned I could do other thing's with it, like do a dirty clean install, then just reimage the C. drive, when Windows 10 starts creating too many Recovery partitions(why Microsoft, why?)
Will be interesting when they bring out their own scheduler. hopefully before next time change.
Update!

Changed Block Tracker
After performing a restore of a non-system volume for which CBT had been enabled, CBT could become disabled on that volume and would not re-enable until the system had been restarted. This has been resolved.
