I tried that, got the same result. Thanks.

I did try that again and got the same results, after I boot it loads the line across the screen like it is going to find the image, then the boot screen re appears with spinning dots then the black screen. I set it back to RE and will just create a Ticket with Macrium Support. If they can't fix it, I will try something else. Thanks for your help!
It did not work for me.

    Worked !!!

    Thanks

BTW I think also older computers have problem with NTFS when creating boot media --I've found ensure FAT32 and don;t have partition >8GB on USB device for the media creation -- then it's fine again.

    Cheers

Many uefi pcs cannot boot NTFS drives.

Reflect recovery drives should always be fat32. If you have a large USB drive, maje a small fat32 drive e.g
1 GB for recovery drive, and then you can create an NTFS/exFat partition for rest of drive.

    For what it's worth:

    I upgraded to 7.2.4971 yesterday--successfully.

I made new rescue media and booted from it successfully.

Then made a new full image as a test to confirm all was well. That worked.

I was then unable to delete that new test image through File Explorer. I got an error message:
“The requested file operation failed because the storage policy blocks that type of file. For more information, contact your system administrator.”

I looked at the Macrium Forum and saw a 2 year old post indicating this issue may be related to Macrium Image Guardian and that the preferred way to delete an image was through Macrium itself, not File Explorer.

I was able to delete the image through Macrium.

However: I deliberately did NOT include Image Guardian when I upgraded yesterday and I had NEVER had any problem deleting images through File Explorer with earlier versions of Macrium.

I couldn't quickly find any other reports of this issue with this 7.2.4971 upgrade.

If you clean installed Reflect you get a two week trial of the paid versions which include MIG.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I created a rescue usb on a 512 mb usb formatted with fat32 and it worked — I had tried with 16 gb usb drive and computer would not boot. Really appreciate this Cereberus .

Not sure if this is directed at my post 1133, but if it is:

I have had the paid version since last year. Yesterday, I did an ordinary upgrade to the newest version. Otherwise, I hadn't upgraded since October.

It would appear I do NOT have Image Guardian, which is what I would have expected since it was offered to me yesterday when I upgraded. I declined the offer.

Here is what I see as of 5 minutes ago in the Macrium interface---as I would have expected:

I don't have anything I can test that on, but it would appear you have found a bug. Definitely should not be blocking you from Explorer delete.

    @ignatzatsonic

Temporarily, stop this service and see if it's blocked.
