    Backup Advice.


    Hi,

    I need some backup advice.

    I have a WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra 2x4TB (RAID 1) storage and was wondering if I would need any other sort of backup device so I don't lose my valuable data?

    Maybe another NAS or an extra SSD 4TB?

    Having a duplicate copy wouldn't be at all bad. There's only 2 issues, affording the second drive [either type would work] and having the time to do the duplicate backups. For use on other computers I'd go with the USB type.

    I have a 4TB formatted as exFAT and see an issue I need to investigate, it shows a much larger percentage of space used than my 2TB formatted as NTFS, it's the Disk Space or Size on Disk that shows it, much larger number. I have another 4TB like the one in use and the packaging shows as compatible with Windows and Macintosh, probably why the exFAT formatting. Since I not longer have a Mac I'll be reformatting as NTFS this afternoon then Copy the data from the first to compare.
