I subscribed to this thread to alert me to the next free license giveaway. Never got an email!
Bummer but ok. I just checked back and see member SIW2 had downloaded and registered the pro version.

It didn't work for me the other day but it worked for me this time!

    Thanks SIW2!

    Edit:
The only quirk that bugs me is when booting up with an AOMEI USB media, it uses maximum resolution of my screen which makes AOMEI's program small and harder to see with my aging eyes. On my old PC the same USB boot media loads full screen. Example screen shot below.

No. I don't know about using that. I'm still pretty new to Win10 after being on Win7 for so long.

I used AOMEI's create bootable media in the tools section. Is there another way to make an AOMEI boot without using the bootable media creator?

I fixed my screen size issue by adding an Display Resolution in the BCD file.

    He said what he did.

    example:

    bcdedit -set {globalsettings} graphicsresolution 1024x768

I use pecmd to do it. Can also change the dpi.

That is exactly what I did except I used BOOTICEx64 app to do it.

the aomei creator can use either winre.wim or it can download the environment from the internet.

Many people make their own winpe and include whatever programs they want.

the option is shown below. if you don't tick that box it uses winre.wim

I used Aomei Media Creator to make my USB. Then, I BootICEx64 to edit the BCD file on the USB and added the graphicsresolution 1024x768 setting.

In my Aomei Pro version 7.2.3 I can't get past the download WinPE environment checkbox even though I have downloaded PE_ENV and saved the folder, gave Aomei the path to its downloaded location. I have to check the checkbox to get on to the next screen for selecting the media type. Then, it will go even though I have the internet off, Aomei still creates the bootable USB.

Location of PE_ENV inside of Aomei installation folder.
