Adding a disk image to a new HdD.

I bought a 2 TB HdD to replace my old 117 GB HdD. I've done a disk image with Macrium Reflect on an external HdD. Will I be able to install that image to the 2TB HdD without any issues with Microsoft & use it? I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64B which is an upgrade from 7 Pro 64B.

It should work OK. No guarantees. Know what Plan B is if it fails.

You would formally "restore" that image, rather than "install".

You'd boot from the USB recovery media you should have made in Macrium. That leads you to the Macrium interface.

Or, by "use", you may mean simply "can I move that .mrimg image file from my old hard drive to my new hard drive", rather than restore it. Yes, you can do that too. It's just a file and can be moved around at will like most other personal files.

I'm assuming the image is of your Windows 10 Pro 64B installation when it was on the 117 GB drive.

The only choice you have is to let it grow the parition or restore as it was. I would restore as it was then change after windows boots ok as it seems to throw a wobbler if finds the parition different on a new drive
