Macrium Reflect 7 restore issue

I've got a major problem with a restore of an image I created in Macrium Reflect 7. I have restored images from Macrium often on my Windows 10 installation Bootcamped on an iMac24 from 2008. After the restore finishes with no errors, the machine restarts but hits an "unmountable boot volume" error. It restarts again and Windows repair does the needful and we have a fully functioning system. Not this time. The restore again seems to happen without a hitch but now Windows repair can do nothing with it and the system goes round and round in a series of restarts that lead to nothing. Even from within Macrium, the boot fixing utility cannot find a windows installation to repair and even though Macrium tells me during the image creation that the restored partition will be fine and have the correct C:\ designation, it actually doesn't end up that way. The partition cannot be found and the system is useless. I've had to rebuild from scratch. Any ideas on why this time the restore was a washout? I've had the same results with three different image files.

It's neither of those. The disc and the memory are fine. The "from scratch" installation went like clockwork although it took me six hours to do because I extensively modify Windows 10 for my own use.

Not sure how the OP would go about getting Bootcamp to boot from the recovery media

I used the WinPE environment, both built in and on disc and it made no difference, in fact, it's the ONLY way to get Macrium to restore.

What are you restoring?

Most likely you want to restore C only as if you restore system (EFI partition) then I I think you may need to bless the Windows boot loader again.

From Windows this would be
bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi

or from MacOS (after disabling SIP)
mkdir /Volumes/ESP
sudo mount -t msdos /dev/disk0s1 /Volumes/ESP
sudo bless --mount /Volumes/ESP --setBoot --file /Volumes/ESP/efi/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi

I use rEFInd as bootmanager and have had to do similar things after restoring ESP so I don't any more - restoring just C with Macrium works fine.

I'm trying to restore the "C" drive only although at the end of the process the only partition showing on "Disc 1" is the EFI one. Would that command you have shown be run from the command prompt that is given as an option when Windows fails to boot and would it then give me the restored partition back that is clearly there but is not designated for some reason as the "C" drive??
