Windows 10 entire systems backup/restore applications for my laptop

I have a Laptop with a 500gb SSD. The SSD went totally bad, lost everything.
So I had a repair shop put in a 1tb and restore Windows 10 for me. But I am one of the original owners of the first IBM PC's so I know my way around a PC and going to do my own backup/restores if needed.

I decided to buy a 1tb SSD USB3 external portable and do the backup of the entire disk weekly.
I am ready to try but need good advice on an external OS/entire disk BACKUP/RESTORE program that will:
make an image, etc and restore back easily if needed.

Can someone suggest 1 or2 GOOD applications to buy?

I have tried a lot. Aomei is popular, as is macrium. O&O has a lot of functions for enthusiasts. Drive Snapshot very small and efficient - looks like is written in machine code. There are plenty more.

Depends. I suggest Aomei to friends and family, etc because it does the job, and is very easy to use.
I like the extra features of O&O Diskimage - exclusions and so on.

You will have to decide for yourself. You could take a look at those two. Links in my previous post.

Macrium Reflect. The free version would most likely be all you would need. Why? Simply... it works, it's reliable, well supported, recommended by many here on Tenforums, and we have an excellent tutorial for it.

I'm sorry, who are you addressing? There are 2 "pictures". One is your Avatar (the big J that shows here), and the other is a picture in your profile. Both are under Settings in your profile. Examples of mine. Watch the sizes and dimensions so they will upload and fit.

Don't use anything from Acronis, Macrium Reflect is excellent.
