Can OneDrive (I have the 1TB upgrade) be used for backup of files and the OS ?
Is there a tutorial somewhere ?
My system consists of: Surface Go, 4GBram, 64GBstorage, Win10 S mode, Edge, Office 365, No physical keyboard, No mouse.

OneDrive cannot be used for backing up Windows. For that, because you only have one storage drive, you will need an external USB drive, alternatively you can store backups on another computer on your network.
For file and personal data backups, OneDrive is an ideal solution. Using OneDrive as default location to save everything, all your data is always automatically uploaded to OneDrive cloud.
In my case for instance, I save absolutely everything to OneDrive folders, be it a Word document, Excel spreadsheet, a downloaded file and so on. This way I never lose any data, even if my laptop suddenly just died. On new replacement device, I would only need to setup OneDrive to again have access to all my data.
OneDrive Files on Demand (tutorial) helps me to control how much of my total data on OneDrive is kept on local device. When my local drive is getting full because of the amount of data in my OneDrive folders, I just clear space telling OneDrive to keep some of the data on cloud only, just showing the shortcut on local device. Screenshot shows an example; although I have 113 GB currently on my personal OneDrive (yellow highlight), only 23 GB of that is kept at the moment on disk on this laptop (blue highlight):
In addition, as your storage drive is relatively small, you might want to change settings so that everything you save to OneDrive folders will be kept on cloud only (tutorial).

If only one drive, you could shrink C drive enough to create a new partition large enough to temporarily hold an image backup then syncvthat partition to OneDrive to put it in permanent storage.

For me saving all files always to the OneDrive would not be a good idea. Remember that most places in the world do not have interweb and when places do one is constantly busy figuring out how to connect to the interweb and what connecting can be trusted or not.. . . . Saving files to OneDrive by default is also not a backup. Because it automatically synchronizes so there is no spare copy available anywhere I assume.
At the moment I upload the SurfaceGo files to a special OneDrive folder regularly and I copy files from my laptops to an external drive every month.
But you still do not have a backup this way, correct?......This way I never lose any data, . . . .

I can see this would work for many people. Sounds like a plan. How many GB you think I needs for just the OS, without personnel files ?
What program can I run in Win10S to create an additional partition ?
You could always create a image of the drive, but will end up with a image the size of the partition, not just the installed programs and OS.
