For decent EXCEL alternative which will run almost any excel spreadsheet including things like get data from web and update in place so good for financial stuff -- stock data etc without problem try this product (100% free as well)

I haven't yet found an excel spreadsheet that doesn't work with this one -- that includes pivot tables , graphs, pie charts etc etc.

You probably won't be able to run VBA macros though but using those anyway isn't a good idea = there's enough functionality in the standard product to give 99.99% of excel users more than what they would normally use.

Good thing about this suite -- works on Linux and Android too.

No email client though -- thunderbird or equivalent are alternatives to outlook.
