I used to use Acronis. It failed me twice trying to do restores (it wasn't the file it was Acronis that was the problem). Acronis didn't get a third chance and I've moved on to Macrium Reflect (I currently have a paid version 7) and no problems to date with Macrium restores.
I have a copy of EaseUS but it seems "crude" compared to Macrium Reflect.

After a long time of using Acronis (up to W7 days) I switched to Macrium -- mainly because the activation and update procedures on Acronis were getting rediculously complex and I hated the later interfaces. Then I was introduced (via this Forum --thanks) to Macrium and have been using it comfortably ever since for backing up my system.
For data though I use one not on this list as it runs as a Linux component on my NAS -- it's a GUI version of the standard built in Linux command rsync -- the application is called GRSYNC. I like data being backed up on a NAS where spyware / malware etc can't get at it as its off my Windows systems. Imaging the OS though with macrium is fine, quick, uncomplicated and always (IMO) works perfectly.
Seems the overwhelming choice of the Forum is Macrium.
Remember guys though when taking backups its best to have 2 copies preferably on different media and stored in different locations - the chances of 2 HDD's going defective at the same time are highly unlikely and if your data is important to you and valuable (imagine re-ripping say 4,000 CD's again etc) you are also protected against loss, accidental destruction, damage (flood, fire etc), and theft.
Probably overkill for system images backups but I'd recommend this for your important and hard to replace data e.g the example of 4,000 CD rips etc.

Prefer easy-to-use backup software. The AOMEI Backupper Standard (free) really meets my demands. Currently, using it to create weekly backup for my projects.
I've been using Easeus todo backup free for several years (since win7) for not just doing backups but for also disk cloning.
I may have an interest in using Macrium Reflect and AOMEI Backupper free later on; though my goto backup app has been easeus

I have tried nearly all backup programs in the last 25 years, NOTHING IS BETTER! (I miss tape backups!) Been using Snapshot it for 20 years.
A single exe! 2m 01s to backup my Win10 partition. And 3m 02s to restore it. Beat that!
I actually found this forum while searching for an alternative to Acronis, which had become like a bad stench. Macrium is the best there is. It has saved me several times and not a single failure, which Acronis was very prone too. I lost a ton of data because of Acronis.
Thanks to Macrium I feel 1000% safe with my backups now.
I've been using Acronis True Image, for many years and have never had an issues with my backups.
I will admit, that it may not be the most user friendly application out there, but I've become accustom to it's interface.
Macrium Reflect is a very good product, which seems to be the application, that most will suggest here on this forum.
I see no issue with people suggesting this app, due to the trusted and reliable performance it has demonstrated.
If I wasn't a long time user of Acronis. I would definitely be using Macrium.
