On my PC I have a 256 G SSD drive and a 1TB HD (HP Omen PC)
In the todo recovery screen of I have 2 options, I have to pick one or the other.
Hard disk 0 (931.51 GB, Basic,GPT++++OR++++Hard Disk 1 (238,47 GB Basic, GBT.(I think this is my ssd drive)
    Which one do I pick??
Also in the advanced options box, do I check optimize to SSD

any help would be well appreciated

Going just by what you wrote, yes, the SSD is "Hard Disk 1".

But I don't know if your Windows system (C partition) is in fact on the SSD. I'd guess that it is, but I can't prove it. Hard to say how HP may have configured a PC.

You should be able to find out in Windows Disk Management or by examining your file structure with File Explorer.

Nor do I know how well Easus will work for you. I haven't used it in maybe 10 years. Can't comment on the "optimize to SSD" thing either. I use Macrium and I can't recall that it asks for anything like that when restoring.

Well, I'd expect that you can restore to whichever drive you want, assuming it will fit there.

But I'd expect you'd prefer to restore to the SSD because it is likely a lot faster than the D drive.

What partitions and drives did you think you included in that "full system backup". Everything on the SSD? Some stuff on the SSD? Anything at all from the D drive?

Understand: whatever is currently on the drive will likely be lost during the restore. If you restore to D, you'll lose all of that, which I assume is your personal data of some type.

Likewise, if you have any personal stuff on the SSD now, it will all be replaced by whatever happens to be in that "full system backup".

You're the best authority on what you included in the backup.
