macrium reflect full image restore at 5 minutes: is that possible?

I've done a restore action (copy selected parts) of a full image (the word full is indicated on the WINPE reflect screen near the image) from an external portable harddisk to an ssd on my laptop.
The image is created with reflect 7.1; the restore is done with reflect 7.2 .
During the restore (saving partition of c:\) I saw the message "looking for changes".
The restore (of 4 partitions: 3 very small (Mb) and c:\ 80Gbyte) ended successfull in 5 minutes.

    Did I do something wrong?

How much of C: is used, or is 80Gb the partition size?
    Presumably USB3, USB3 compatible disk?

c:\ has 80Gbyte used and large of 240GByte (size partition)

    SSD is PCIe

external portable harddrive has usb 3.0 interface

    the link:
Restoring Full Backup Image, Not Just Changes

tells "delete partition" does not help to remove the item " looking for changes"

It seems my restore succeeded when I look to the dates of my windows updates.
My full image was of the date of 11/02/2019
After my restore (looking for changes) my last windows update was 07/02/2019
After a next update there are 9 updates today installed

Have you done a full restore or incremental?

It was my first restore with the WinPE of macrium reflect 7.2

I used the default values (I did not change any select box) of the restore choose link: I choose disk 2: my ssd
then i selected "next" which means I choose "copy selected parts"

So I suppose I was performing a full restore, I don't know how I must perform an incremental restore of a full backup image?

On the windows MR application I found under restore tab, other tasks, edit defaults: restore: Rapid Delta Restore (unchecked): which is in contrast with my restore.

But on the WinPE version I didn't found other tasks, edit defaults, so no rapid delta restore to check.

Should WinPE MR choose automatically choose RDR?

    Hi Samurai,

    Thanks for your answer.

Probably by 'incremental' restore you mean a restore with with the option "RDR"?

    Hi there
with that type of SSD for full backup quite reasonable -- you should note at the end of the job the I/O speed -- with your SSD I would guess about 1 - 2 Gb/s so quite reasonable time 5 mins.

Macrium gives I/O rate while it's running.

Well, assuming you are using Macrium Reflect Free, you are experiencing a case of serendipity.

The Home paid version most certainly does Rapid Delta Restore but the Free Version does not.

However, there is a bug in the recent Free version, where it seems the 30 day paid version trial mode has been inadvertently activated (with no time limit allegedly) and the winpe mode is acting like the paid version.

It is a bug and eventually it will get fixed for sure but in the meantime, it is serendipity :-D.
