See if you can find the system restore failure log on the computer: C:\Windows\Logs\SystemRestore

Post a share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive.

When system restore is ran it may display that it failed.
Typically Windows creates files when there is a failure.

If someone has a practice computer and can block system restore with antivirus software or other methods:
See if you can find the failure log (C:\Windows\Logs\SystemRestore) and post into the thread.

    MBAM has the same feature.
Try a restore within safe mode or disable MBAM.

I disabled MBAM, and tried to restore the same RP as mentioned earlier in this thread. That RP had dropped off the list, and been replaced by "Automatic Restore Point".

I'll simply continue with Macrium, and ignore SR. Maybe twice a year I'll check to see if M$ have finally got it right.

Thanks to @cereberus and @Porthos for their responses.

Were you able to find any log files related to the failed system restore?

Command line can be used to view the restore points:

Open administrative powershell and type or copy and paste:

    Get-ComputerRestorePoint

The same situation occurs to me long back! But now I have a genuine answer regarding this question. To this, I would say you need to simply run it on safe mode. Then restart the system and press F8 and until and unless your windows logo appears. now you need to start safe mode and start the loading of OS. Next step is to select system restore and accordingly, you need to follow the following steps.
