Image restore problem using Macrium Reflect

I made an Image backup of Windows 10 64 Bit the other day using the free version of Macrium Reflect v.7. I am having a spot of trouble on my Dell laptop and decided I would restore the system from Macrium. What I failed to do, I am beginning to understand, was to make the image bootable. When I now try to rectify the error, Macrium tells me that GPT mode is unsupported. It therefore seems that my System image may be unusable unless, that is, someone knows a workround they are willing to share. Thanks for reading my tale of woe.

Macrium does not create a Bootable Image...
With Macrium you need to create Bootable Media - then Boot your PC with that media
    Then Restore the IMAGE

As Khyi says, you have to create the Macrium bootable media (usually on to a USB) & boot from that or add the MR recovery to the boot option Of the PC.
Then you can restore the image.

    Thanks all for your advice.
Unfortunately I have been unable to create the bootable media. I get these messages:
    "Failed to generate WinPE WIM"
Failed to create the staging area"
I also spotted a message "wim file not found".
I thought that by uninstalling M.R and reinstalling I might get the option to create the bootable media at the start to see if that worked. No such luck. It probably knows I have previously downloaded the program and bypassed the bootable media option, so seem to be stuck with a system image I cannot use.

See if you can do it manually. Click the Other Tasks. Then click Create Rescue Media. Post screenshots of any errors or weird happenings.

Thanks all once again for taking the trouble to respond to my question. I concluded that there was not going to be an easy answer for me to follow and what was worse I found there were other problems arising e.g Windows troubleshooter stopped working. I think the system was corrupted. What I therefore have done is to do a complete Windows system restore, files programs and all. I then downloaded M.R. and when this completed I found I was able to create bootable media by following the tutorial guide and with that I was able to restore all my files and programs from the backup I had made a few days ago. The Windows troubleshooter now seems to work ok though I still have a battery charging problem. I will ask for advice on that elsewhere in the forum.

Glad to hear this part is solved. Hope the battery issue gets resolved also.
