Cant recover Win 10 on Lenovo Yoga c930

I've got problems with brand new Yoga c930. Getting BSOD all the time and it restarts. On the attemps to recover or reset the system same thing happens just BSOD. I'm able to boot live Ubintu from USB, however when I try to boot recovery Windows USB that I downloaded from Lenovo it wont boot. I can see it in the Bios/Boot menu, I changed the boot order to start USB first, disabled Secure boot, but still the machine not booting from the recovery USB. Any suggestions?

Hi, if you wish to treat this as a BSOD case, could I suggest you post it in the BSOD section and follow the posting rules (which entails data collection) if you are able to do that?

To examine the disk, you can use a boot disk. Please try creating Kyhi's boot disk which offers many utilities as you will see from the screenshot and the list - near the top of the threads in the Software and Apps section here.

This would also allow you to recover data should that be necessary.

If it is "brand new" Use the warranty or even return it for another one.

Good point - check with the manufacturer how to use any built-in factory reset procedure. If that fails, return it.

See if you can boot into safe mode:
Boot into Safe Mode on Windows 10 | Tutorials

If you have BSOD in safe mode report that into the thread.
If you do not have BSOD in safe mode report that into the thread.

If you have BSOD with safe mode then flip the notebook over and remove all visible RAM modules.
If there are multiple RAM modules then re-seat one module and see if the computer can boot without BSOD.
Then try each of the other RAM modules so that all modules are tried independently.
Report the number of RAM modules into the thread and the results.

Thank you for your answer, I did boot into safe mode and is no BSOD so far, but audio and network are disabled so I cant test machine much. Should I try Windows recovery from the safe mode?

There are two log collectors: BETA and DM
BSOD - Posting Instructions - Windows 10 Forums
Run both in safe mode and post zips into this thread.

After posting the zips into this thread run these commands.
Some may not work in safe mode.
Whatever the result use the copy and paste method to enter into the thread.

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) chkdsk /scan

    5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    6) In the left lower corner search type: system or system control > open system control panel > on the left pane click advanced system settings

    a) > on the advanced tab under startup and recovery > click settings > post an image of the startup and recovery window into the thread

    b) > on the advanced tab under performance > click on settings > on the performance options window > click on the advanced tab > under virtual memory > click on change > post an image of the virtual memory window into the thread

    7) If the computer has Ccleaner (do not install the software if it is not already installed) > click windows tab > scroll down to system and advanced > post an image into the thread

    8) Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Tutorials
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

    9) Brand new computers should not be having BSOD.
Are you able to contact the store or the computer manufacturer to get a return merchandise authorization (RMA) ?
