I haven't looked at Acronis for a while - but I expect it will let you store the image on the usb stick as well, if you wish.
Macrium Reflect Free will as well.

...you can also boot into something like Kyhi's recovery tools which boots into a mini-Windows environment and it has Macrium Reflect installed as a program, and I think it also has Acronis installed as a program (not sure about that)...
It does, and Aomei. See the 2nd screenshot here.

Could you give me the post number for this screenshot?

And : The post about Kyhi's tool?

I now have a rescue USB for Windows and a rescue USB from Acronis so I should be quite safe but I am always eager to learn new things

It seems a standard feature for imaging programs. They all do it, as far as I know.

    Again thank you.
I have been reading about this here and there and think that kyhi's tool is a collection of programs that you can install on an usb stick and use on any computer in problems (so not only the computer you created it on).
    Is that correct?
Does it work on older Windows versions too?

And where should I download it from? see picture:

And then my last question: Do you need to update these recovery tools regularly?

Download the 2nd one in your preceding screen capture only if you run 32-bit Windows (it's the x86 version). Otherwise grab the next one down (x64). It's a great tool. I always keep one around in my box'o'usb-sticks.
