Restore a file or folder from Macrium Free Image?
I have found the need (desire) to restore a particular folder or file from a Macrium Free image of one of my hard disks. Is this possible?
Thank you.

As I understand it, individual file and/or folder backup and restore is available only in the paid version. Others with better information and a lot more experience than I do will probably come along and offer some help.
Yes. What you do is double-click on the macrium image. Macrium Free offers to mount the partition(s) from the image as a virtual drive. Select the partition you need, tick the box to allow access to restricted folders then click OK. You can then browse the image as if it were another drive. Then you can just copy the files and/or folders you need.

Macrium viBoot (included in Reflect free and paid versions) is another option, even allowing image to be updated and upgraded. For instance, you have system image from version 1803. Mount the image in viBoot, upgrade to 1809, and restore to host.
Macrium viBoot requires Hyper-V. Tutorial: Macrium viBoot - Create Virtual Machine using Macrium Image | Tutorials
