how to backup to ssd from hybrid drive

my dell xps 14 may be flaking out. I want to be prepared. right now I backup my current images using Macrium free but was planning to buy just one ssd to replace the hybrid one. Does macrium support this type of transfer, if so how do I do it? partition images attached.

Yes I do it all the time. It is no different than any other HD. If you are getting a 500 gig ssd it is a snap just restoring to your current drive. If you are going smaller or bigger its a little work.

likely to go smaller like 256gb. But seems like I won't need the OS to decide what to store in the faster drive since it will be one speed. I'm still not clear what I need to do on Macrium including Intel Rapid Start app. Any guidance on what to do appreciated.

    Hi,

I'm still unclear as to what to do, the folks on dell forum are not very responsive so hoping someone here has answers.

I have 2 buses on my dell xps 14 (yes 14); msata 30gb ssd, and 466gb sata hdd. Do I buy to replace the msata or sata interface. I think I know how to clone (just the hdd part) but not sure which one to buy. I have attached my intel rapid storage application view of things. Thanks for your input.
