Yes it does speed things up a bit. But I use the free version on other slower computers and it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to restore.
I only use Home on my main device where RDR is great. My other devices use the free version like you.

I was more than happy to buy one licence but could not justify the extra cost for a 4 user licence but with 40% discount may be attractive to some users.

I believe MR are considering a 2 licence package but I think they should also have an upgrade to two licence package for existing Home users.

I need only one or 2 computers that are regularly in use because all disks are removable except this one Samsung M.2 but backups could also be done from rescue USB so in second computer MR is not even installed.

Sure, but strictly that is against the licence terms. In any case, my main second device is a 32GB tablet which only uses 32bit version and the 64 bit usb does not work anyway.

If you use hyper-v vms, it is ok to mount a vm's vhd as a drive and use host OS's Home version to backup/restore the vhd. It is not necessary to install MRH inside vm.

I do not know if this is so easy to do on other virtual machine systems though.

Against which part of license would that be ? I'll be using only one payed MR on only one computer and carrying a HDD from one computer to other. Is there a limit of drives that could be backed up ? I don't think so.
Or is there a limit of number of computers rescue disk/USB could be used on ?

Here is a quote from one of older MR knowledgebases

"Note: Image deployment to multiple PCs requires a deployment license for each PC deployed. Please see here for information on purchasing deployment licenses.

If you deploy an image to a different PC then you should make sure your installed software, including Windows and Macrium Reflect is suitably licensed for the new PC."

However a later knowledgebase does not say that saying Redeploy is included in Home. So you can legally transfer an image from one device to another on V7 for sure.

The licencing info does not actually cover the use of a usb PE Home version on other pcs now I look more closely so I guess as it is not specifically excluded, it is ok. So I am probably wrong.

I am not suggesting it is ok to avoid licence restrictions but any lawyer would argue that exclusions have to be contractually defined.

I guess this is one of those questions you would not like to ask Paramount in case you do not like the answer and they did then decided make a contractual obligation.

I cannot see that happening though as other tools seem to be quite relaxed about such things.

It definitely is Martin. Considering that it's the largest discount given for a long long time.
I used the offer and bought a license, this afternoon!

I was meaning buying a four licence deal. I already have a Home licence. If you have no licence, the 40% deal for multiple licences could be attractive but less so if you have already paid for one licence.

Hey guys I just finished talking with the good folks at Macrium and they gave me the OK to post a discount code for our members to use.......not a great deal but it is for 10% off purchases for the next 7 days...... Just click on the "buy now"...
If you ask me, Macrium Reflect should be obligatory, first application installed after installing Windows 10. Users often think it as just another backup application but in fact it is much more, giving more than any other free imaging solution....
