I agree thanks. Is it just me or googling the solutions is a waste of time. All I keep getting is top 10 common problems and how to fix them useless links for W10 many which I tried already and did not work "system restore, sfc /scannow, defrag, malware, virus scan"?
As for office I also cancelled because of the frequent sign outs when office is not used for a while.
Thanks. Love this company actually listens to feedback.
A useful Microsoft link for current OneDrive installs can be found here:
New OneDrive sync client release notes - Office Support
Scroll up and the version links are suppose to download the appropriate OneDriveSetup.exe
That said, the roll out link marked 18.192.0920.0015 actually brings down Version 18.192.0920.0012 of OneDriveSetup.exe
so go figure?...
@Steve C
Thanks for doing the Macrium support work on this!
Heads up... in the the last several hours Microsoft has started rolling out yet another new version:
Version 18.212.1021.0008 (Released November 16, 2018)
18.212.1021.0008
plus this link below now downloads the correct OneDriveSetup.exe for the Current build 18.192.0920.0015
18.192.0920.0015
Thank you, Sir! Put MR Service to sleep, DL'd and installed, woke up MR.
Windows update notes
Version 18.212.1021.0008 (Released November 16, 2018)
- Bug fixes to improve reliability and performance of the client.
- New features gradually rolling out to users:
- When dark theme is enabled in Windows, OneDrive will switch to a dark theme in the Activity Center.
- Admins now have the ability to configure Team Site Document Libraries to automatically sync on a machine.
- Fixed some issues causing high CPU usage during OneDrive updates.
Isn't it nice when software developers listen to their users and take immediate remedial action. MR head office is in Manchester they have 12 developers who have been with the founder from day one. MS have thousands of employees and no one is listening.
Glad they actually listen to feedback and posted a actual change log not just "General bug fixes and improvements."
