The google as you said was useless in finding anything about this.

not now... that's the good news.. google 'Macrium Service Onedrive'

Although this presupposes you already know Macrium Service was the issue...

'Onedrive client not updating' provides no help.. so I know what you mean..

Not sure if straight method for updating Onedrive (in case of Onedrive not updating) was pointed out:

    1. Start services, find Macrium service and stop it
    2. go to "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\StandaloneUpdater" where change Username with your username
    3. Run OneDriveSetup.exe from subfolder \StandaloneUpdater
That's it. All folders with _n will be gone.
Macrium service will start again when needed, no need to start it back.

Thanks. I wondered why it kept failing. Now updated.

I cancelled my Office 365 sub anyway (too many frequent weekly annoying updates) and me and my family don't use it much if ever not worth $99. So I don't need OneDrive no more. I also prefer to upload backups using a web browser so I can choose what I want to backup.

Running Onedrivesetup.exe having disabled the Macrium service gives me this error for some reason:

Run installer in Setup Update folder.

Edit: sorry, that should be "Update" folder, whichever is newer
