The only reason for installing Acronis is the "Try&Decide"- function which still works in 1809 also .

Personally, judging backup software based on speed is akin to trying to compare the quality of the food at Mickey D's and a Fine New York restaurant.
The accuracy and reliability are far more important than a few seconds, or even a couple minutes difference in backup processing time. And the appearance of easier to use, if applicable, doesn't change the end result...... a reliable image you can trust to restore correctly.
I've used Macrium for years now, and will continue to do so.
This is the nvme usb enclosure era now . I have a usb 3.1 gen 2, m key , 1 GB/s enclosure . I have been using acronis oem version . The backup/restore speeds is around 1 GB/s +/- ( that's gigabyte per second ) , it can go from 700-1200 MB/s . Getting it to recognize from a usb boot was tricky , i had to made a usb rescue from an older acronis oem version . I moved to macrium because acronis premium features are expensive . So i tried macrium reflect free , and it's around 300 MB/s . It's not a disaster but it made me realize that on a long operation my enclosure gets hot and i have to keep an eye on it or deal with it .Meanwhile i didnt manage to speek to macrium ( because they have a home paid version) but I managed to contact easeus ToDo and they confirm that their software is slower on the free version .
I do the backup from the usb boot now because office key was locked when i did a backup from windows .

My 10 cents worth, had lots of trouble restoring from Acronis backup images, but NEVER had any problem restoring from Macrium reflect FREE version.....hope that helps
What is interesting is that although MS say they no longer support system image backups, they have introduced a new system image backup tool FFU whih can only run in winpe mode but it is amazingly fast. On my pc it does a full backup in half the time as Macrium Reflect Free.
As a tool, it is very limited i.e. only does a full image, and can only restore to a drive same size (or bigger) - see tutorial.
DISM - Clone and Deploy using FFU Image
Dumped Acronis a long time ago , its bloated , very difficult to get rid of , and not 100% reliable...........
Macrium is superb and really the best you can get for backup software !!
