Question on restoring 1809
Will the restore option work after setting a restore point and then cleaning the update files ?
Will the restore option work after setting a restore point and then cleaning the update files ?
Good question. Didn't Version 1809 have only 1 update before it was pulled/stopped? My machines with Version 1809 can't be restored to a previous version, probably been too long since I did the Upgrade.
To the first question: not restoring it "from what". Just want to know if the restore option works if needed down the road if I delete the update files.
To the second reply: I just downloaded 1809 and made a restore point after I discovered it was working well.
Joining the Insider group let me download 1809.
Thanks for the replies.

This might help...
"Going back to the previous build' is available for 10 days after upgrading (e.g. from build 1803 to 1809)"
This option is unavailable after 10 days.
Please see this:

Hope this helps you.

Thanks for all the replies. I do 't have a problem, all I want to know is...does the restore function work if I have cleared the update files. Please don't try to fix a problem that doesn't' t exist.
Thanks
Jim
Guess the simple answer is.... if you have cleared the files (presuming you mean Windows.old), then, no...there's nothing to go back to. If it's Restore Point you're referring to, any Restore point made before the upgrade is gone. Any you made after are still viable.
Hope this helps......
