Hello.
I tried to perform a system restore after installing a bad driver.
But I got this message at the end of the process:
"System restore did not complete successfully" Followed by text and the error code 0x80070005.
I learned that I need to set the system restore service to "Automatic" but I see that the system restore service doesn't even exist in my services list.
What can I do?

System Restore disabled? Turn On System Restore in Windows 10
Disable any anti virus software especially any 'self protection' mode or try restoring within safe mode.
Strange that the restore didn’t work within safe mode. The error message points to anti virus software interfering. Do you have Malwarebytes or another anti malware program?
Also try restoring from installation media:
Place the Windows 10 installation media on your computer.
Start your system from the Windows Installation Media. To do that, enter BIOS settings and at Boot Order setting, set the CD/DVD (or the USB if you have created a USB media) as first boot device. Then Save & Exit BIOS Setup.
Select the Language to install, Time/Currency format and Keyboard input method and press Next.
Choose Repair your computer.
Then choose Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > System Restore.

Odd that I went through this very same System Restore failure with exactly same error message only a few hours ago.
In my case, it was due to the self-protection module in Malwarebytes.
So if you have Malwarebytes installed, and get this error, follow these instructions at Malwarebytes Support. I was then able to run SR successfully after 3 such failures"

And as far as the driver goes, you can revert back to the previous driver in Device Manager.
By the way.
Malwarebytes used to be a great tool in the early days of its inception when earlier versions of Windows were easily compromised.
If you are using Windows 10, then I think it is more of a hindrance than of any benefit. I think it has gone past its use-by date.
You can also try running System Restore outside of Windows.
