Macrium reflect 7.1.3317 restore stuck

    I was more thinking more of running check disk against entire HDD.

    Okay. My advice, single copy backups should not be left on same machine as it exposes them to all the same pitfalls as the original except drive failure.

    I use a purchase copy of Macrium and it has Image guard which at least prevents unauthorized alterations of backups. You can get a flavor of this with Windows Controlled Folder Access.

    We all do things differently and it obvious that you know your way around a computer. Sometimes I just hint as I have been told in nice language to mind my own.

    ...but it is so convenient for a quick 'restore'. I like to put Macrium image on a second partition on the same drive for just that reason. But I then make a Macrium image of the WHOLE drive including the Data partition holding the image(s) to an external HDD.
