    No.. do not use Windows 7 B & R. Even Microsoft recommends using 3rd party products. That is being deprecated.

    Please use Macrium Reflect (free). Maintained, recommended, updated, superbly documented and highly recommended by most here. Only downside- the GUI is a bit old fashioned.

    Thanks for all the help, I marked it as solved.
    The solution was: Resetting my computer through the built-in windows recovery menu (not from the Windows 10 live CD) and choosing the "keep my personal files" option. But you can also completely reinstall windows using a Windows 10 Live CD if resetting doesn't work.
